The latest C&D has both cars tested on a track - the Z06 is VERY impressive (second fastest car I believe, next to the Ford GT) - but as reported by other mags, the car is just scary at the limit. The BMW was a differnet story - but hurt badly by its weight.

Comparing these two cars is like comparing apples to bananas. One is a high-performance GT type of car that can do almost everything that a pure sports car can do and the Z06 is a simple pure sports car with an engine out of a battle ship shoved under the bonnet.
well considering that the z06 is about $70k-$85 depending on where you live and the M6 is over $120k no matter what, I'll take the z06 since it is faster and the curbside appel is not that bad either.
I think its pretty cool the 2+2 coupe has the V-10 and the sports car has the V-8. As for differentaton, the M6 and Z06 both do little to seperate from a looks persepctive. I will say the M6 looks better with that kit, the Vette is already a looker and looks downright nasty (in a good way) in Z06 form.
Believe it or not, I would go with the M6 b/c I got room for some luggage and 3 other people if need be and I WON'T be tracking neither car often. To me, I will be glad to give up a tick or two in acceleration or slalom times to have more practicality.
