So, I WILL work on NAV/ML, and on no-NAV cars, but supposedly it will NOT work on Nav with no ML?

Anyone out there with the non-ML Nav and Sirius to disprove this theory?

 

i have neither nav or ML and the unit i got from sewell lexus works fine. the only problem i have is the wiring harness that plugs into the sirius receiver came apart. i have to call sewell on monday to get the wiring diagram unless somebody else has it and can post the info.

 

I have nav with no ml, but I wont have a chance to install the unit until next sunday (9/3)

I got it from Sewell, but they shipped it to my billing address instead of the address I specified. I wont be going to the billing address till next weekend. Ill report back as soon as I get it installed.

 

Tranrx we, well at least I will be waiting for your response very anxiously, as I have the same setup as yourself NAV no ML. how much was your total, the quote I got from sewell was $375 with tax and shipping. Please let us know as soon as you get it installed.

Did you get a chance to install the Sirius unit this weekend?

 

Installed the Sirius unit I purchased from Sewell Lexus. It was installed in an IS 250 with ML and Nav. Easy install. Works perfectly. One complaint is the Velcro mount to install the unit to the back side of the keyless entry module. The XM unit uses a bracket and would make for a better install. Thanks to everyone who researched this and shared info.

I have a IS250 Nav w/o ML and would like to install the Sirius Receiver as mentioned from this thread.

Like several members have noted, according the website, Sewell Lexus, this unit is for ML receivers ONLY, however, some members have stated that it also works with non ML Units.

Question:

Is this OEM Toyota part? Is there a part # to confirm that I have received a working unit?

I searched around and saw some mention of the 10 character display limit, but I thought I would ask all the Sirius owners if they are seeing the same thing. When I hit text, I get 10 characters for the artist and title. Thats it. I know Sirius is transmitting the full text, because my friends Sportster receiver scrolls the whole artist and track info. I know it is not the head unit as it displays the full track and artist info from the iPod. That only leaves the receiver itself. Did they intentionally limit the display so it would work with the not NAV screens or what? For $330 bucks I was expecting a bit more...

 

This is the part that Sewell are selling and it says only ML PTS31-53060-01 and it costs $339.00 and I guess that is plus tax and shipping it would be great if this would work properly with non-ML.
