When I first saw it I was like...what did Mercedes do to the S-Class...then yesterday I saw my first S550 in Helms Bros. in Bayside, Queens and I think it just looks great... It just has that look...

I have only seen a black one parking in a mall parking lot. It looks very very good. Much sportier looking than the current one. It is one of my top favorite sedans.

When I took my C70 for an oil change, the salesmen was nice enough to let me sit inside the S550 and tinker with the iDrive thingie (its also an MB dealer). I have to say, the iDrive (i'm not sure what MB calls it exactly) is MUCH MUCH MUCH more intuitive than the BMW system. I've tinkered with the BMW system on 3 occasions, and walked away very frustrated and p'ed off. Within 60-90 seconds, I had figured out the MB system on my own. I've a big fan of this new car. It looks better in person, especially with sport package.

IMO, I think the LS460 looks better than the S 550.

Yes it is! They don't have the door mouldings anymore, so it goes down there! Which makes it look taller too!

Man, I can't express enough how much I love the S550.

The S450 rumors, may not be true at all. At least for those of us in the US.

@Magneto--The interior pics you posted are those of the Launch Edition S550. They belong to someone at mbworld. Almost all the pics you guys have posted are from people at mbworld.

@ic144--I don't know. IMO, the LS460 has nothing on the S550.
