I just saw a new S550.....(official new S-class thread - update pg. 10)
 

DAAAMNNNN!!! But a different damn from the last gen. When I first saw the last gen the first time it was like" DAAMMMNNNN that is beautiful".

THis version is like "DAMMMMNNN, that is one tough looking car".

TONS of precense, the wheelarches while very apparent, didn't look as bad as I thought on this gold colored car.

The front end screams "LOOK AT ME *****ES".

The rear ain't bad either, no where near as bad as the 7 even with the Bangle butt and says Maybach very clearly.

I see a hit. Again

I hope you seen the sports package one.... WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Neighbor of mine has it in white with the sports package!! WOW

YES!! Can't even front. I saw a young black couple pull up to The Cheesecake Factory 2 weeks ago in a Black on Black S550. WOW!! People flocked to that car instantaneously. You really dont understand how massive this car is until you see it around other cars. I can honestly say that I like it. Very muscular. He had some nice wheels on it as well. :thumbup:

Car definitely has a lot of presence, but that quickly vanished when the Bentley Arnage pulled up. :eek2:

are they gonna have S320, 430, and 650, or is it now limited to just the 550?

i saw a few in the city and they are serious cars.... :eek2:

Most Beautiful Sedan, Hands down. Honestly, for all the technology or driving dynamics the LS and 7 may offer, neither of those have the looks or presence of the S class. I'll take an S in black please.

I just heard about the S550, S600 and S65. Not sure if they are carrying over a smaller V8 or V6 anymore......

We did a radar detecter install on a new s550. I got to drive it back to the customer and it was nice. I liked the interior but the outside was just eh. I am not sure if I like the fender flares in the rear of the car. I dont know the cls still has my vote. :sad:

only 550 and higher, thank god they dont make the POS S320, ultimate poser vehicle

I love the S550 exterior.

I read somewhere that they are planning to add the 335 hp S450 some time.

I've heard plans for an S470, but I dunno how credible those rumors are.

I like the car, but the rear fender is still just hideous. HIDEOUS.

We have an '06 S350. If the only way to get a SWB S-class in the US is to get a 6-cyl engine, I'm willing to do that.

Cool - so tell us how the drive was? Good pick up? Handles nice? Steering? Seats comfortable? Controls easy to figure out? What did you like and not like inside?
