The car I always wanted
I think it was built off of a '76 Oldsmobile Cutlass sedan. Funny that when "Robocop" was released, sister division Pontiac had introduced the "6000". The marketing people at Pontiac were probably not amused . . .

If not that, then the early-mid-80's vintage Pontiac 6000 or 6000 STE.

I remember Robocop, great ultra violent sci fi movie. The car was supposed to be some utra luxury powerful car that everyone wanted in the future in the movie Robocop and it was highly modified for the movie. It is funny because in the scene where Clarence gets one and his gang are shooting up the city with those cannons when he shuts the door of the car you can see the interior mirror fall off. The movie was kind of a satire on American coorporate greed and big business so that is why you saw the comercial for the car that got such poor gas in the television commerical. I thought those black Taurus cop cars with the raming bars were pretty cool too at the time.
