I found a Black on Black TT Supra in the Autotrader for $5,990 down in Miami... The guy claims its mint with brand new paint job and runs great.... It seems to also have rims with a body kit.... ..Could he have gotten it painted because of the body kit..... It sounds like a great deal but it sounds to good to be true Any input.... He said he has to sell it due to financial issues and is forced to sell....
Scam? Perhaps. But, scam or not, with a car like this you always have to be leery of the twin turbos.......they are often, for several reasons, one of the first things to fail, and they are not cheap to replace. The clutch ( if a manual transmission ) is another potential weak spot, especially if the guy did GTO-style burnouts, and also not cheap to replace.
Fortunately, the straight-six engine on this car, unless wound well past redline or seriously neglected service-wise, is just about bulletproof.

Yea i have to agree.. I emailed the guy but I'm not driving 2 hrs..to see a piece of shiet car... I'm sure with that many miles turbos need a rebuild and the clutch needs to be replaced...but then again maybe not you never know.... Anyway I'm not buying it
Supra TT + Miami + Price under 10k = A guarenteed Scam. These cars can be super expensive to maintain so my recomendation fi you want one is to get the cleanest low mileage car you can find and spend the extra money initially, it'll save you tons in the long run.
The turbos can be purchased used for less than $800 from those upgrading to singles. You can upgrade to a single for less than 2500 however the fuel and other upgrades needed as well will definately try and eat your bank account alive.
The transmissions are now being rebuilt in TX by Champion Toyota, prices from 1,000-1,500 for a rebuilt. Brand new they are right around 5-6k from the dealer.

I've fallen for the Supra TT scam a few times, dont do it. If the Supra is under 15k its a scam. A good one should be mid 20's.

wait, that car is from Miami? this ad stated it's from San Francisco. 1993 SUPRA
this trick is too old, i thought everyone should've known by now.
you can find these "dirt cheap" deals all over the country:
Ahhhh the good old days...... when you went to see something in person because the newspaper advertised it and the internet didn't exist. If it was a scam on a bad car or title you just came back a few days later and beat them senseless until your money fell from their pocket.
