That would be nice, but if those bastards really want something they find a way. My Strange Rover got swiped earlier this summer while visiting my girlfriend (no broken glass). I guess it's safe to assume they flatbedded him.

Push button start will have no affect on a car jacker. Think about it, when cars went high tech with alarms a number of years ago, the theives went low tech ... tow it or just put a gun in your face and take it.

most cars stolen I doubt they are met with the theives, or use a tow truck

Usually the cars that are high in demand overseas are the ones that are the most stolen.
