Default New Subaru Tribeca SUV

Just when I thought Subaru designs were getting better especially with the Legacy 2.5 GT, this one is horrible...

Looks like an ugly child of the Porsche Cayanne and the Nissan Murano....

Maybe three-quarters...but that is pushing it. But the Alfa-Romeo-type grille is at least a little touch of class, IMO. I've always liked Alfa grilles.
Anyhow, Subaru did not see fit to bring it to the D.C. show here....gotta wait at least for Detroit.

FYO, LexusChris, the code name for this vehicle was BX9. Has Subaru now given it an official name (Tribeca)? If so, I was not aware of it.

Don't don't know....maybe all SUVs look alike to me, but do you guys see the similarities?

Well......that's the classic jelly-bean look that is so popular today among stylists. There are some obvious exceptions like the Scion xB, Honda Element, and the new Mustang, but by and large the jelly-bean look is what drives auto design today.

I believe Saab will share this platform with Subaru.

Maybe...but not likely. Saab has just introduced its SUV....the 9-7X, which is just another one of several different rebadged Chevy Trail Blazers. They have one displayed at the Washington, DC Auto Show.

Yes, this SUV will be shared with Saab. What's even worse is that approximately 30% of the parts were sourced from the GM global parts bin.

When are companies on the rise going to realize they cannot make mistakes until they are near the top. This is ugly. I cannot imagine what the Suburu forums are saying.

So we're going to have another Saab SUV....a car-based one like this? Saab just introduced the truck-based 9-7X derived from the Chevy trail Blazer (see my post). And....just a few months ago Saab introduced another Subaru Impreza-based car...the 9-2X.

This is ridiculous Saab needs to break away from GM ( with no excuses why not ! ) and become an independent company again.
