Wow the new Avalon's exterior reminds me of alot of cars the GS, Solara, Galant, Camry, and Altima. The interior is beautiful....I love it looks great and for $35,000 I think it's a great value...
Oh yes the exterior isn't that bad either good job!

How do you figure? That same configuration for the "joystick" is used in the IS300 Navigation system. That one item does not control the whole car's electronics unlike the BMW's system.
I should've just said I don't like the idea of a joystick in general. Having to keep nudging/pushing the joystick/buttons several times just to get to a menu item or to even enter an alphabet is so much more inconvenient and takes more focus away from the road ahead than a simple touch screen.
Toyota has put on their website a couple of videos of the new Avalon. Quite nice.
