Speaking of onboard and offboard and such...Mitsu's CEO ran away today to take a position at a software or tech company or something...The captain apparently doesn't want to go down with the ship.
Just wait for the fire sale on Evos...Which probably isn't such a good thing, because I'm sure it won't be too long before the "best-backed cars in the world" have absolutely no backing at all. I think Mitsu is offering 10-year warrantys as a gimmick to move units short-term because they know they probably won't be around in 10 years.
Wow, talk about a tangent...

The Solara is definitely a North American market car only, but was originally built in Canada. The 2nd Gen Solara is now built along side the Avalon, Sienna & Camry at Kentucky.
The ironic thing is, the new Scion tC is built exclusively for the North American market but is made in Japan. Go figure.
The more I look at this car the more I like it, despite it being FWD and having no manual. And coming from me that's saying a lot. It wouldn't be too difficult to imagine myself in something so plush and well-equipped 10 or 15 years from now. I think this new Avalon rivals some of the previous-gen Lexus models in terms of luxury.
Can you even begin to imagine what the NEXT Avalon will be like?!

The Acura TL/Cl for the past 2 generations has been designed in Cali and built here as well for the American market. Cars like the SC 430, GS 430, etc world cars are usually from studios overseas.
