Many current new sedans are already too tall for my tastes. It takes away from one of the superior traits to having a sedan and not an SUV.

This particular vehicle comes to mind when I think of too tall

I'm not particularly fond of this growth yet understand the reasons. Looking at the Lexus ES 250 and each generation thereafter it is a matter of time before we have huge cars like in the 50's. We'll see the re-birth of huge displacement engines since the cars will weigh so much.

Taller?

If I want to drive an SUV, I'll get an SUV... I don't need the car maker to make me feel like I have one.

That sucks. As it is, I can't see my first gen GS in parking lots if there's a Corolla in between me and the car.

LOL yeah when the latest Camry was introduced I noticed a much higher roof! Although it does net a comfy seating posistion, its just not a mix with good styling! The only good thing about cars with higher roofs is when you slam them, they are still comfy, ie, a good seating posistion.

The new Maxima is another highboy model!

Agreed, however I'm not so sure that we will see the huge displacement engines accross the board in small & medium sized cars like back in the 50's & 60's.......consider the price of fuel is going thru the roof & I think the car makers will be steady as she goes.......unless they can build huge displacement engines (hybrid, fuel cell & displacement on demand?) that can get much better fuel economy as the cars we drive today. Just my 2 cents
