Shell in Claymont, DE this morning. Between 50-75 cents cheaper in Delaware than PA. Not bad.

Perhaps not the only reason, but one likely reason that gas is cheaper in Delaware is that corporations have a very low tax rate there. All else equal, the less you tax corporations, the cheaper they can afford to sell their products.

PA has always been terrible with fuel taxes. We're still #1 in the country with diesel tax. A whopping 74 cents/gallon!

As recent as 2022 we were #1 in gasoline tax too but have been surpassed by 3-4 other states.

You might be surprised how many extremely profitable US corporations don't pay a penny in income tax.

Really how about payroll tax? 🤡

Please stop with this narrative of demonizing corporations, billionaires etc.

Taxes are the worst thing for any economy. They provide money to politicians that leverage them to get votes from constituents. That is not how America was created as it doesn’t encourage personal responsibility.

I rather have the companies / people that earned that $$$ spend it rather than give it to politicians that **** it away and can’t even fix a lightbulb or peeling paint. Just go to any subway station in NYC.

It’s only going to go up from here.

The AI revolution needs energy resources and the general public will be subsidizing it. This is just a preview of what’s to come. 👍

Oh yay more politics.

Half a tank of regular for the truck. This is in southern Utah where it's about 30 cents cheaper than Vegas.

I wouldn't say it's politics.....just a discussion on taxation and gas prices, which is economics.

Absolutely.....not surprising at all. Flocks of drivers come to Vegas from out of state...and the local stations take advantage of demand.

We have that everywhere, I wish it was 91-93 though. If it was I would use that exclusively.
