Lexus TZ Debuts!
You and your family must all have iron bladders. I wouldnt want to go more than 2.5-3hrs without stopping, even if its just to stretch my legs and fill up if needed. That said, I wouldnt want to be locked into a route based on available chargers. I want the shortest and/or fastest route and going along routes with chargers may not be it.
Which is an issue for Lexus. More range and people like me would buy the vehicle.
Theres stopping, and then there is stopping for 30-60 minutes. We stop, but we stop for 10 minutes once during the trip. That 11 minute stop with the Rivian is great, 55 minutes or stopping twice once for over 30 minutes is a no go.

This depends on whether the chargers are at places where you can do this. Most here aren't, they're in parking lots of Walmarts or at convenience stores.
With that said, I don't stop and have a leisurely lunch while I'm traveling, we have a dog...what do we do with him? If I stop I want to stop for 20 min tops and I only want to stop once on a 350 mile trip. This is why range is really important in a family vehicle like this if they want it to be successful. Most people aren't buying a big 3 row vehicle just to drive a family around town.

Similar to the comment you made earlier "Nobody with an EV will drive the distances that Striker drives 2/3 times/year"

And the fact of the matter is that the automotive market is still majority ICE, not EV. So I guess his statement about "most people" still makes sense?
The reality is, not many people will want to stop more than they have to on a trip or stop longer than they have to on any trip for that matter. They just want to get their destination asap. Outside of the major EV states like Cali, chargers are not abundant and the ones we have in malls, parking lots and etc are just another parking spot for Teslas and who knows how long they will stay there for.

Like I said before, I don't think a lot of people buy a 3 row family vehicle and don't plan on driving it on trips with their family. 350 mile trip is not an unusually long road trip.
300 miles of range and these things will be a $700 lease like the other lousy EV offerings from Lexus.
I think I am a pretty good example of a target buyer for this vehicle, and as someone that is exploring going to an EV for this specific type of vehicle.

350 mile trip is about 5 hrs with stops and breaks. I would classify that as a long trip. Also, if you are traveling with an EV, it's probably best practice to charge it mid way since your hotel may not have a charger for you or someone is parked there and now you are panicking and looking for a charger at the end of the trip and you have 10% left. So the ideal range is 400 miles really.
