doesn't matter if the car keeps having problem. two of my close friends leased RR and they visited the stores every other month. every time it was something new.

i’ve known a few people get range rovers (can we please write the whole name and not RR which to me means rolls royce ), and all of them didn’t keep them long (too many problems).

i had good reliability from mine, but the numbers don’t lie. With that said, I’ve always felt that the Range Rover makes a solid case for the best overall vehicle on the market. It has an incredible and for me unparalleled blend of capability, utility, comfort, luxury and prestige, and for me more than any other vehicle it best answers the question “if you could only have one vehicle, what would it be”. Early previews of the Range Rover EV are really piquing my interest.
I know lots of people with modern Range Rovers and they are all happy with them and have not had problems. The numbers are the numbers though, and like with Chrysler and Mercedes I would know that I cannot expect perfection.

I have to agree with this. For me, the SUV that really would get me out of a sedan is a Range Rover. It has all the class and panache of the sedan, the closest to the luxury and driving comfort of a sedan coupled with the capability to go anywhere and do anything that it is really attractive. In one vehicle I could have my prestigious, classy luxury vehicle for work, a family vehicle for trips, a hauling vehicle for stuff. It doesn't look out of place being driven by a businessman or with a family and a dog bounding out of it arriving for a beach vacation...I can't think of any other vehicle like that. Something like a GLS or X7 still feels at its core like its a family vehicle and as a personal luxury car it doesn't have the same appeal...but the Range Rover doesn't feel that way.
The S Class was one of my bucket vehicles, and the Range Rover is too. The EV is also piquing my interest and seriously could be my next car.
I’m hoping it will be like the Bangle butt and get huge push back.
I will never buy a new BMW with that interior/steering wheel.
The fact they got rid of iDrive controller and shift ***** is just sacrilege.
The S class interior is better on the refresh instead of the stupid iPad for the gauges that it had.
I gotta see it in person but I have a hard time imagining that my opinion of it in person will change. Its a shame because I think this refresh fixed 90% of my issues with the exterior of the 7....and created the issue with the interior. If the refresh 7 had the old dashboard I would get one for sure. I just fundamentally want a traditional interior layout and to me this is just gimmicky.
The refresh S Class dash is much, much better. I have gotten used to the "gauge iPad", but my interior is black and everything just kind of blends together. I like the interior of the pre-LCI 7 better than mine but not this LCI at all
The other thing is the stupid square steering wheel. I drove a Lucid Gravity and I HATED the square steering wheel. I would not buy one of them entirely because of the steering wheel. Just felt so awkward.

BTW my parents are overjoyed with the 7 interior especially the seats and overall quality compared to the Sclass which was a huge downgrade from the w222. The Exec pack with crystal controls really sets it off.
It’s a beautiful interior no doubt. The seats alone are some of the best seats in any car anywhere. I just couldn’t handle the exterior. I tried to like it probably more than I have tried to like any car…
As for the steering wheel, as odd as they look, IMO it's more ergonomic. The flat base/top and non circular corners are better for the hands, esp when the bottom half is clear like on their EV models. You can seat back a little more and place one hand there while cruising. Speaking of steering wheels... I saw this on SM....
Lots of stories about that with both of my cars, but I'm humming along lol. At some point I'll roll the dice.
There's one on my street that I haven't seen a rental at their house yet. So you may be fine. Lol. They've had it for about a year now. I first didn't like the skinny tails but they grew on me. Both this and Sports edition look great IMO.
