Shooting Brake came from the English. Yes, two door was the standard. but the length and room needed for hunting and carrying all of their "stuff" in the back end was where the name shooting brake originated.
i've read several times that michael schumacher himself had an E55 wagon back in the day... i personally think the W211 works much better as a sedan than a wagon but if it was good enough for the michael i gotta give kudos to the wagon!
p.s. i was intending to try and hit 420 likes today but i posted too much and hit the number a week ago lol

Not much room in those back seats, maybe for kid's seats. That leaves even less room for any kind of gear. Still, I absolutely love the FF.
i always MUCH preferred the F12 i truly think that'll be one of the all time classic models, although the FF does have an interesting way of being AWD and for that it deserves some recognition
what qualifies as a wagon: there is a sedan version of the car! i know lots of SUVs show up as 5-door wagons on the registration but i don't consider those a wagon in the truest sense. i had a subaru outback so technically that's a tall wagon!
years ago i had an accord wagon on air:
today, i drive a MB W211 wagon - just finished the lowering it after removing the rear (leaking) bags and adding bilsteins/H&R springs:
I was behind a Black M5 wagon Saturday. It doesn't do it for me like the RS6 does.
Why is it that every Sport/performance wagon the owner now has to have some YakimaThule aero-luggage box on it. Are you really carrying that much **** around that you need that thing on at all times.
There's a guy with a Older A6 wagon that "rally's" through my neighborhood. Roof box on it all-the-time.

Yeah the box on everything thing took over awhile ago. That reminds me let me order one for the LC to be cool 🤣
