Quote: Just came across a video saying Mercedes is discontinuing EQS in the USA because there us no demand? And then they are bringing the electric van, as if they havent learned their lesson.
The EQS didn't fail because it is electric, it failed because it's ugly and doesn't deserve the S class moniker. If the EQS was gas powered, it would still fail, right?

No idea, its so ugly I only seen a few of them on the road, never cared to check it out any further.

Maybe Mercedes made it ugly on purpose so it wouldnt sell and they would have a good excuse to cancel it.

Oh yeah, the ultra wealthy can order anything bespoke.
Fancy leathers, wood trims, paint, not sure how far MB will go though.

I wouldn't go so far as to say its a disaster, I do think the front of the GLE looks better than the GLS.

I find it interesting when everybody else is using LED tech to make headlights slimmer and more aggressive, MB seems to be making them bigger and more bulbous...and of course all the stars everywhere are just ove the top.

For comparison here is the current GLS. More attractive IMO:

Except the headlights and stars, the rest seems fine to me.

The V8 is changing to a flat plane crank. That seems counterintuitive to a comfortable luxury barge, but it will certainly have character now.

The rest of the vehicle other than those things is unchanged...

S Class too. Its the new variation of the existing engine to make it EURO 7 compliant.

So this is interesting, not sure how I feel about it. The non AMG GLS will have the traditional grille and hood ornament! Not sure how I feel about that on an SUV...

Damn it sucks to be a car fan these days. 👎
Wtf is this garbage / lazy designs. I’m sure any AI bot could do better.
The interiors are all cut and paste from each model.

All these companies are doing same stuff…ugh
