The outgoing gls should lease better though, especially some fart cars. It seems mb and bmw dealers discount way more then say a Lexus, especially demos

Yeah its got to be the F Sport. Here is the same color without the F Sport, the trim in the front really makes the F Sport look finished

Same, I like the new Palisade from every angle but the front. Same with the Telluride.

The GLS is a GREAT lease deal right now, its just a more expensive car. You're just comparing a $100k car vs a $78k car. Lease deal on the GLS450 is about $1,150 a month, TX500h is $940. $200 more for the GLS is I think worth it, but you can make that argument about anything, its "only $200 more". Gotta draw the line somewhere.

That's how I always get in trouble.

Yup! We're coming from $720 a month and one tank of gas a month, the TX is $200 more...and no PHEV so more gas then its only $200 more for the GLS, well now we're $400 a month more plus no hybrid and premium fuel, so its more like $600 a month more.

If you calculate everything, it'll never make sense. You could get ... a gas free transportation for that monthly payment. It's only money, Steve. Lol.

I came in to check on my guess. Getting close to page 30. Lol.

Of course, its a balance of want vs cost.

If you don't want to hear about my car search you don't have to look at the thread.

I submitted to a broker for numbers on the TX500h Premium & Luxury and the TX550h+, we'll see what they say.

Big jump from the Premium to Luxury 500h ($5k), that gets the ML audio, real leather vs NuLuxe and the panoramic roof. I would just get the Premium if not for the lack of any sunroof at all...the ML audio and leather I would do without. My wife doesn't care about the sunroof but I like it...

Can't wait to see what the broker can do for you in the Lexus market. For me, I would be torn on what to do here. I don't mind not having a sunroof and would be good with just the pano roof but I think I would like the ML audio and leather so I would probably spring for the Lux package, especially since it is only $5k and if you lease it is really like you paying half for that option.

at the 500 level id be surprised they can do much but get allocations in terms of value added services.

The 350 trims are where I see the bulk of discounts, 10% off cap cost easy. 15% is net zero, which unless theres some months end volume bonus most dealers dont discuss at all.

This broker was advertising 8% off of the 500hs in April, the May numbers aren't out yet. I'd be thrilled with 8% off. If its close to MSRP or MSRP may as well get the 550h+ because the better residual makes the payment about $10 more.

The Luxury 500hs are much harder to find than the Premium models...thats the only reason I wouldn't get the Luxury. With the dog and kids I actually would prefer the NuLuxe, and I can never listen to the music loud enough to enjoy the ML because whenever I'm driving it my wife and kids are in it and they complain. I just like an open roof from time to time. Like when we're at the beach, etc.

8% is sweet. I assume autocompanion? Are they doing the sub 500 finders fee and 800 doc fee still?

Lexus has not leased well since COVID. You either buy then sell it to Carvana and get money back at the sale or you lease a German. The residuals will be crazy on the 550 PHEV and I wouldnt be surprised if you only lose like 30% of the value after 4 or 5 yrs.

Its AutoNinjas, AutoCompanion is a good one also. I think their fee is $799...will gladly pay $799 for 8% off lol.

So interestingly, when my wife got away from my BIL and we talked she did NOT like the Rivian. I am seriously shocked. She said it felt too big and ponderous and she didn't like how it drove.

Thats when most of their platforms were pushing double digits age wise, so GXs and LXs needed the encouragement. Nowdays different picture.

For business I really need to lease...even if the payments were similar I would still lease for that reason. Can still sell it at a profit if the profit is there.

With 8% off a TX500h luxury leases for about $930, not terrible for a $78k car. Premium leases for about $860. With nothing off they are more like $1140 and the TX550h+ with nothing off is $1,150, just get the 550h+ in that scenario. Can also lease a GLS450 for $1,200 or so, but not a hybrid and much higher fueling cost.

The thing to think about with the 500h vs the 550h+ is the fueling cost. Both take Premium fuel. We're buying 1 tank of fuel a month for the Pacifica. Would be less if we installed a Level 2 charger. If we have to buy two more tanks of fuel at $75 each a month, then thats $150, add that to the $930 you're at $1,080...may as well get the PHEV...
