Politics can be discussed, as long as people show respect and don't toss personal barbs. The problem is that everyone thinks that their own view is correct and everyone else is wrong....when, in reality, many issues today are often extremely complex, and simple right/wrong/black/white arguments alone won't cut it.
That's why, for example, although there are some issues where I disagree with him, or think he talks off-the-cuff too much, I won't jump on the classic Hate-Trump bandwagon like many today are doing. I can see where he has an extremely difficult job, he is aging just like Biden was (although his mind is still a little sharper than Biden's), time is catching up to him, and, no matter what he does, many love him and many hate him.

AI and ChatGPT sometimes themselves have errors....I've seen a few myself. Don't forget...they operate off of (and analyze) large numbers of existing web-sites, which sometimes have errors. On Wikipedia, I've corrected several of them.

I mean, I'm not going to cuss like Tony Soprano on here... but we are all adults. I'm glad you don't get blocked for saying a word. WADR Mike my generation cusses a lot, endearingly sometimes.
I haven't seen one thing explicit or explicit directed toward another member.
A cussing debate with attack is inappropriate and I do agree those should be avoided and shut down.

Really the best thing to do is just to not allow political discussions. Honestly, its nice to be able to converse in a place where the conversation just doesn't go there. When Dave was in charge you had to pretend political realities didn't exist and that was too much, but the threads that got closed the other day I think that was the right call.
I participate in a lot of forum/community groups and its amazing how any disagreement somehow becomes political...I'm in a group about restaurants in Ocean City, MD and people disagree about a restaurant and all of a sudden they are accusing each other of taking vaccines and being ***** and its ridiculous. Not letting that happen here is the right call.
