Quote: I think Toyota will be doing 0% financing and special leases in no time.
Look how badly Honda missed on their EV.

Also 3row EV is not best place to start.
They should have offered EV Rav4 for $40k as that seems to be the biggest market.

I just don’t see many 3row suvs being successful EVs
. This is the 3rd EV from Toyota and completes the lineup.

I got picked up in the GM version taking me to Avis, and it was really nice. Wouldn't get one over a Model Y, but nice nonetheless. Ok, I did my shrill for Tesla today, I'm done

First few times I saw a Prologue from the rear I thought it was a smaller RR. It's very sharp. Other than that don't know much about it.

Your ZDK is a Chevy.
No it's not.
Yes, it is.
Ooohh.

Pricing will be crucial with no EV credits.
there will probably be a Subaru version. perhaps the new ascent, a Lexus version, would likely cover the higher price

He's an idiot lol. They have the Grand Highlander, why do they need a similar sized "ICE Highlander"?

That is a man reacting poorly to his opportunities to hawk overpriced servicing go up in smoke. My EV has cost me precisely zero in servicing in the three and half years I've had it.

I took from it he mentioned current and previous Highlander owners may not be interested in going full EV…hybrid option could have been a happy medium. Coworker’s mom had a Highlander and went to buy a new one and learned they dropped the V6 for a 4 cylinder so instead she bought a V6 Pilot to replace it.

Maybe have similar affect according to CCN

I personally like the new Highlander.

As of couple weeks ago person who works at my dentist office is holding on to her 375k mile trouble free 5th gen 4Runner instead of trading for the 6th gen 4cylinder 4Runner. I mentioned to her early last year try to find a leftover 5th gen 4Runner if she wasn’t interested in the new 4Runner.

Then they buy the Grand Highlander. Its basically the same size. He's acting like the ICE Highlander is just gone, its not...they just put the word "Grand" in front of it.

Toyota now has two 3 row SUVs, the Highlander which is EV only, and the Grand Highlander which has hybrid powertrains. Simple. This is the only way keeping the Highlander alongside the Grand Highlander made any sense.

Very few people care about the loss of the V6 engine, sales figures for cars that have gone to 4 Cyl models show that. If this were an issue we would see sales drop when the V6 is dropped and we just don't.

CCN tosses around so much misinformation in that vid it boggles the mind. He said it at the beginning, "maybe I'm out of touch" yea nailed it.

Yep, out of touch. I gotta start agreeing that he's like a non clickbait-y less wild Scotty Kilmer.

Grand Highlander has tons of interior space even in the 3rd row and including behind it. I think that’s where it separates itself from the Highlander.

No drop in sales because as you mentioned before the average doesn’t know the difference or doesn’t care if a particular model drops a couple cylinders.

My cousin went from a RXL to a TX350…no clue they were going from a smooth V6 to a 4 cylinder turbo. The interior space of the TX sold them.

The GH is a much better vehicle than the previous Highlander. Just no reason to buy the HL when the GH exists.

TX is a MUCH better vehicle than the RXL, 4 cyl or not.

I guess now unless you want a 3 row EV
