Oh cool, a post about an article that was written about an AI generated vehicle that will never come to fruition.

As a long time sport wagon owner I am saddened by the exit of almost all manufacturers. I know that Porsche, Mercedes and Audi will still import them but at pretty steep costs. Even Volvo, a long time player has decided to stop selling wagons in the US. America’s love affair with SUVs seems to be as strong as ever. I think I’ll hold on to my V60 Polestar for a while. If there ever was an IS wagon, even close to the illustrations, I would be front and center with a check and order but that seems to be wishful thinking. Thanks for the daydream.

I'd love to add a third longroof to my stable, but we all know that this is not going to happen.

As far as I know BMW is still offering the M5 Touring in the US. Most likely very limited sales. I prefer the RS6 styling though.

I wish they would make an IS wagon instead of more generic crossovers.

Nobody bought the SportCross wagon 20-25 years ago.......does anyone here seriously think they would sell today?

Never understood why ppl like wagons.
They look just as cool as minivans.

Definitely no market in US for them.

Avoids you having to own an SUV is how I look at them, a very viable single car garage solution that doesn't have any true weak points.

I don't like the looks much myself, I did try and find a Jetta wagon though so I would have more utility out of my high MPG car. Goal was to avoid using an suv as a work car lol!

A wagon will certainly have better driving dynamics than a taller fatter suv.

My understanding is the wagon is outselling the sedan.

Is this worldwide or in the US? It seems like sales of the wagon would be quite limited here due to only the M5 Touring being available.
