Has Anyone here owned a Polestar 2?
I am considering moving to a new house that will make my commute significantly longer and will involve a lot of traffic jam crawling/idling that is adverse for my commuter V8 F150. The used Polestar 2 with warranty and under 25K miles are selling in the high $20s now for the mid grade models with leather seats and smart cruise. My workplace has free electric car charging so I would not pay anything for charging ever unless I took it out of town or was on vacation and needed to charge at home. Depreciation will be brutal once the warranty is up. Getting $10K in trade or private sale is optimistic after 3-4 years of use but I know that going in.
The free charging really has me looking at EVs when I never really considered one before. I will still have my Lexus fleet so this will not replace anything.
Polestar is not so common and the specs are impressive for the money. I watched a few video reviews and most people complain about the cup holders, not having an on/off button, and tire wear. Battery desegregation seems to be nothing as bad as cars like the Nissan Leaf.
Would like to get some real work stories about this model.

Moving this to EV chat.

On my 2nd Polestar 2 dual motor. 1st was a 2021 dual motor Launch Edition with Pilot/Plus packs and leather.
I now have a 2024 Dual motor, Pilot/Plus packs, leather, and performance upgrade.
The car is a blast to drive.
Solid build quality.
Ventilated leather seats are great.
I think it's a no brainer with free charging at work.
You still don't see that many around as well.
You can get lots of info @ polestar-forum.com

I think the Polestar 2 looks great. There's a dark grey one I see near work occasionally. It does have a little of that "tall car" look which reminded me of the old AMC Eagles.
The interior looks much better than the Model 3.

Thanks everyone. I will make my home move first then buy an EV because you never know what costs might come up in a new house right after a move. The P2 attracts me because it is a less known brand and is not that politically polarizing where someone who hates EVs will cut you off or not let you merge. Most people don't even know that Polestar exists. They probably mistake it for a Volvo posing as an imitation Subaru. An EV is not meant to be kept for 20+ years so I am really not too worried about parts and service support. If I like it, maybe run it to around 100K miles and get another one. I agree that is looks so much better inside and out than a model 3 Tesla. The model 3s were under $20K in some cases so I considered one way before this backlash on Tesla started. I dodged a bullet there. Before Covid hit, I looked at listings for new 2019 XLT F150s single cab, 8 foot box, 5 liter V8, alloy wheels, chrome bumpers/trim, etc...for $26K out the door. I thought about buying one but did not NEED a new truck so I passed. Big regret on that since they are selling for that with over 60K miles on them and a new comparable XL F150 in poverty spec is nearly $50K now. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. I need to strike with the P2 before too many people start figuring out what they are and prices are not such a bargain.
