I'm paying $456 a month for the P2 dual motor with Pilot, Plus and leather with 12K miles a year with $1500 out of pocket. There is no way you can get into a P3 for that price, unless a hefty down payment.
My 1st P2 I was paying $705 per month with same specs.

That's a really good deal. I was paying $520 a month for the base DM with $4000 down, and I got the $7500 off for the EV tax credit. Plus $2000 for the performance upgrade
When I said "for almost the same amount" I meant the amount I was paying for the P2, which was a little over $600. Getting another P2 would've reduced monthly payment significantly. But I'm not interested in another Polestar.
Ioniq 5 is good. A car to us is just an appliance - I am nowhere near your guys' level of being a "car enthusiast", as many here would like to refer to themselves. Charging at home has been a tad bit slower but the car also uses less energy (more efficient being RWD compared to P2's AWD). Do I miss the P2's 400HP? sometimes

Both my Tesla's are appliances as well, though they are also fun to drive. I'm an enthusiast in the sense that I love cars, but I usually live as an enthusiast through others. I have access to driving all kinds of cars through friends. I've never owned anything even remotely "exotic".
Make sure the latest recall has been addressed, which is a software update. Previous to the update, I was getting a max of 6 kW charging, but after the last update they performed we are now getting 9 kW.
One thing that a little bit bugs me about the Ioniq is that when you first put it in gear, it lunges when you tap the accelerator pedal. That's normally fine, but when you are trying to get out of a tight spot it can be annoying. Not sure if this is just with this car or others also exhibit this behavior
While I'm on the topic of Polestar, I really miss it. It was a really good EV for a Gen 1, and even with the issues I had early on, it was better than any gas car I owned. It was modern, comfortable, economical, and FAST. After adding the performance upgrade, it became a whole new experience, not quite an M4 killer, but put a lot of fast expensive cars to shame. And gave plenty of "Oh ****!" moments. Even with all its shortcomings like range, sub optimal supercharging, it proved to me the viability of electric cars. It It will definitely be missed
I've been a member of many forums, and I've never gotten any requests like this one like I got today from the Polestar 2 forum:
Maybe they are losing members as leases end? Unfortunately, I don't have anything to discuss there, as I no longer have a Polestar
Well, this is a Lexus forum. Which one do you have again?

Lol and touche 🤣. The unfortunate thing about the Polestar forum is I can't discuss my Tesla's on there, and I'll just leave it at that CL has probably the most open minded people, we don't always agree, but we can mostly get through our disagreements and have fruitful discussions. Not so on the Polestar forum, threads not completely favorable to Polestar get derailed faster than a train speeding around a bend with broken tracks 😞
A blast from the past! I've been thinking a lot about my Polestar. Didn't have great range. Charging curve and speed sucked. Charging infrastructure was terrible. Software had more bugs than a meth users home. Infotainment screen wasn't the best. And lacked proper repair facilities. But she drove amazingly well, and was a rocket on wheels! This is the car that got me fully engulfed in the EV world. It proved to me the viability of BEV's. Traveling was a bit difficult and took some planning, but was completely doable. In other words, this vehicle sucked me in forever!
Would I get another one? Probably not. But think of it as my gateway drug into the world of BEV's. There was almost no ICE that could match it in performance, smoothness, and efficiency. Although it had nearly 500 horses on demand, it still was more efficient than a Prius. Range wasn't bad at 230 miles (190 my driving style ) on a full charge, it wouldn't really have been much of an issue except that it relied on the Electrify America charging network, which was really bad at the time I owned this car. Also it took nearly 40 minutes at most charging stops...if the charger wasn't broken 🤣
I actually miss this car, even with the many deficiencies it had, and glad I got to spend 3 years with it
14 months in on my second one. I fortunately did not have issues with infotainment. I still love driving the Polestar every single day. Absolutely no regrets, except for not having the performance upgrade with the first one.

An absolutely amazing car! This vehicle pulled me into the world of EV's forever. Glad you are enjoying yours. Had I gotten a better buyout price from my lease, I would still have it today as my commuter
