2025 GX 550 Announced
I think the GX 550 is considered a size down from the TX 550. My take is unless, you really love the way the GX looks or are actually going to use it off-road, the TX 550 would make way more sense if interior space is a priority.
Personally, I'd love a GX 550, but mostly love it for how it looks and doubt I would ever go offroad to the point where my current X3 M40i couldn't make it. With that said, I really love how the new Land Cruiser looks as well. These boxy SUVs seem to tick my boxes when it comes to aesthetics.

Whether we go GX or TX, neither will ever see off road. On 2nd day of ownership I took the LX off road off an highway to get to service road because traffic was at a standstill on the highway. Other than that it lived a pavement princess life.
This + NA hybrid is a powertrain I prefer as of now over the 3.4L TT. I have to get the 3.4L TT more time for owners to put a lot of miles on to see how well they hold up over the long haul.
