Toyota's legendary V8 has a problem

You also had no clue that the original LS400 has 4 month 5000K mile intervals or 7500K 6 month intervals..choice up to the customer depending on driving distances and needs. Not everyone drives 150 MPH for long distances on the Interstate like you do. Some have an easy going driving. I will always trust an engineer over a mechanic, an engineering degree goes a long way. A Ph.D ever farther

‘Until I brought it up. You had no clue that Toyota had a service stipulation for 5K for modern models but under regular use the interval is 10K

I don't drive on the interstate so I have no idea who you are referring to
I watched this one last night. Interesting that cylinder 7 is almost always the problem, sometimes cyl 5.
I don't remember the IS F ever having head gasket issues and some of those have high miles. I don't spend any time on the RC F board to see if anyone is having issues.
Oil changes for me are 5k or less and coolant will be done earlier than recommended. I just crossed 7k miles in my 500. It's going to take me a long time to reach 200k.

I had a GS460 which retarded its own timing because I thinks there is engine knocking where there isn’t. Causing loss of power at random time. The additional knock sensor listened to acoustics - which were flawed.
It has a UZ 4.7 I think....or the 4.6 UR with much thicker bore to bore walls than the 5.7, not too sure actually since it's been a while since I looked into that famous truck.
Meanwhile in domestic truck world 1000000+ miles is so common it doesn't get attention like that, but then again the domestics actually offer heavy duty trucks and sell to fleets.

Might want to expand your horizons and look into it more, there are legions of them. No articles get written because it's not news

Here's 90 just from dodge. Some of them have over 3 million......and this is common for domestics. It's not news

I sometimes wonder if they didn't rust so badly if they would last longer.....the main issue I have with tundras is they become rust buckets in record time. That and parts costs are insane
