And Ironically at the time, the Mustang's V8 was actually 4.9L.

Yep, the 302 was called a 5.0 to avoid confusion with the 4.9 inline-6. Both were offered in the F-150.

That was the battle back then. Mustang 5.0 vs Camaro/TransAm 5.7.

In doing more research into the tires, apparently the Hankooks I have are not foam filled, despite the window sticker saying they are...interesting...

At least I don't have to worry about choosing foam filled tires to replace them...

Back in the day I almost bought my friend's Trans Am with a 6.6 liter.
He put a ton of work into the engine, bored & stroked, racing cams, etc..

But the body of the car was beater condition and had no AC so I passed.

Yep, that’s probably what I will choose. Also interested in the Goodyear ElectricDrive 2. They seem to be well reviewed and they have a foam
insert. I have a great history with the P7 though that’s probably what I will do.

The MOE (Mercedes sort of run flat) ride quite well but they are a little sharp over sharp imperfections where I think the non runflats will improve there.

I'll bring it back to cars....just wanted to share that my WRX took a hit from a Jeep Commander while I was stopped for a school bus. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

$4700 to fix (I'm currently driving an Enclave - so different from a WRX), but with 152k miles on it, I am so thankful that it is not totaled. ...the Jeep was unable to drive home after the accident. I appreciate Subaru for make such a durable product!

That sucks! Sorry to hear that…dealing with that is such a PITA.

I had quite the scare last night. We were out to dinner and my phone buzzed, it was a notification from the MB app that my car had a collision detected. So of course I had to run out to the parking garage, no sign of anything. There were a bunch of ricer cars parked behind it revving their engines and their sub exhausts were so loud it must have tripped the gyro sensor. When we got back into the car it came up on the screen and all the cameras had taken pictures and video and you could see them back there revving their engines.

The system is pretty cool…glad I could experience it without actually having had my car run into lol

Yes. State Farm couldn't get a hold of their customer for two weeks for him to admit that he ran into me....I had some pretty aggravating conversations with them and if noted that my car was not safe to drive and that my life insurance plan was through them.....that honestly seemed to help.

I guess I'm not surprised to hear about the Mercedes sensors. Everything is so sensitive these days! But also the ricers. Really?

That sucks. I got somewhat lucky for the last two cars that hit me. I made them get on the phone on the scene and admit to the insurance company that they were at fault and I never even had to call my insurance company. I don't trust anyone these days because even though at the scene they may admit it, later when dealing with their insurance they say otherwise.

Too many people I have known had issues with fault because of this. Even then, Geico tried to weasel their way out of fault a little when they said it was going to be he said, she said until I told them I have it all on video with my Tesla and I asked them if they wanted to play that game. That changed their tune right away.
