You'll find comments like this all over his non-Toyota videos because he gets so many things wrong so often lol
Another thing touched on above is that for a "mechanic review" he's not particularly thorough in his explanations. Savagegeese and even Motoman do a far better job explaining mechanical components and functionality and the reasoning behind them, because they are able to actually talk with the company. Same with Automotive Press. AMD doesn't, and it shows.
Of course, everyone can make mistakes, but when your entire video persona is defined by your expertise as a mechanic, it reflects much worse on you to mess up these details than it does on the average motoring journalist.

i think part of that can be related to the fact that english is obviously not his first language. but he's not a bomb thrower, and doesn't really use gimmicks, and i like his enthusiasm. his delivery is rather slow, so i change the playback speed.

Here's the thing about all of this...he hasn't said anything wrong here in these points.
1. There being a reason why Volvo does that doesn't change the fact that there is only a mechanical steering wheel setup. As a buyer, I don't care what the reason is...I want a power tilt/telescoping wheel. So, I would have the same reaction.
2. The pros and cons don't change the fact that its a strange setup. There are pros and cons to everything, rear turbos are unusual.
3. Yeah its basically plastic.
4. Even if Volvo has been doing that for 100 years, its strange to see a japanese gearbox in a swedish car. I agree with that statement.
He may not explore these things as much as you would like, be none of that is "wrong"

Car reviews are mainly opinion based. Has been like that since the dawn of time. When he does repair cars, he is right more than wrong - that benefits the community.
