This guy gives THE BEST car reviews on YouTube. Thought I’d share

 

This guy is the strawman boomer that RegularCarReviews makes fun of in every video.

 

Well, I'll respect your opinion, but IMO nobody beats Alex Dykes for thorough reviews.

The ones I Watch are not review only. They do comparisons, tool reviews and other stuff. TFL - The Fast Lane, and Donut.

 

Savagegeese is hands down my favorite.

 

I really like some of the cars this guy reviews. Especially the mint condition older ones, but his style reminds me of a bad 50's comedian working in the Catskills.

 

Savagegeese (Mark) is the best. I miss that surly mechanic he used to have in his reviews.

The absolute worst is that Regular Car Review guy. Painfully unfunny and puts on an annoying voice in his reviews. Just horrible.

 

I love Regular Car Reviews. He's hilarious and so many of his stereotypes are spot on.

For more serious reviews, I like TFL and Throttle House.

 

The Borscht Belt gets no respect.

 

Savagegeese and Alex on Autos are amongst my favourite I watch. Very complete reviews with lots of tasty details.
On a more humorous tone, Vilbrequin, a now stopped french car tester crew, was always a good laugh to watch.

 

And that is really the thing and the most succinct and intelligent answer.

These guys live and die by clicks and there is no reliable feed-back loop for honesty, integrity, or accuracy.

Chris Fixx, Scotty Kilmer, etc., etc. - if you really know cars that crap gives you an almost instant aneurysm. Eventually, there should be a market for someone with knowledge, experience, and integrity.

In fact in a truly just world, Scotty Kilmer would have been by now sentenced to death, and drawn and quartered. Much like Tupac Amaru II.

People don't go to Scotty Kilmer videos for actual advice or tips, they go to him to get affirmation that their piece of crap 20 year old beater Corolla or Civic is the best car in the world.

 

Scotty will post a video saying that new Hondas are all ticking time bombs, and then 2 weeks later he'll post one about how they're the only car he recommends.

He's an absolute hack, but people mistake his self assuredness for wisdom.

I wouldn't let that tweaker put gas in my car.

 

He also had a video where he argued Dawn dish soap could reverse the (irreversible) chemical poisoning of the platinum substrate in a catalytic converter. Yes.

Watching Scotty Kilmer explain something makes me think of what it must have been like to be at a **** party rally in Nuremberg in the mid-1930s, or to be an avid Phrenologist and want to go get my skull read.

 

There are a ton of good ones, honestly I can’t choose a favorite. Which is great!
