Let me know, hopefully it's something minor and not the actual alternator. Process I use to check tries to assume it's the easier stuff like belt and perhaps a control computer not sending the start signal etc....

Thankfully you have a warranty since water cooled alts are very pricy, I would however be honestly surprised if it's the alt since they normally last a stupid long time. I have a W220 customer who has 320k miles on his 2003 with the factory alt still!

 

Looking online, the alternator for a W222 S560 is certainly priced as though it's water cooled, but I don't actually see the coolant fittings in any of the pictures I can find.

 

You got me curious and it looks like it's an air cooled unit except for the V12, that's surprising! Normally you start to see water cooled when you have serious amp demands like on any W222

 

the bentayga is poser though, i know this for a fact since the CEO of the company i'm at has one because he "got a good deal" on it... the good deal part only came out because i was like come onnnnnn that thing ain't the real deal bentley.... at which point he admitted he's really after the cullinan haha

Only the phantom interests me since the others don't isolate you the same way and are so slow/boat like to drive vs Bentley they don't appeal to me. If I'm not going to drive a car I want it to be as smooth as possible with a better rear seat than fronts. Otherwise I want it to drive well since I'll be doing that

the wraith is absolutely a poser rolls, but apparently now they have the 'architecture of luxury' platform which includes the phantom, cullinan, and 2nd gen ghost

 

Brought an i7 home. It does fit in the garage, barely lol. Took the family out in it and let my wife drive it, they love it. My daughter and I took it back and drove a 760. If I go that route I still have a lot to think about EV vs V8. The i7 is really something else.

My daughter found a beautiful 2020 Alpina B7 on the showroom floor in Alpina Green she says is her “dream car” lol
