Model Y Refresh

i now see the mobile connector’s 14-50 adapter can use 32A delivery on a 50A breaker circuit.

i see the 5-20 optional adapter for a 120V 20A circuit.

i told the guy i didn't want to watch him rip open under the hood and to just knock on the door if he needed me.
i came out about 15 minutes later and he was already gone.

so i setup my (dumb) garage doors and gate opener remotes into the homelink (easy enough but had to view the owner's manual to see where to start). conveniently, you can view the owner's manual on the big screen from an option in the (non-obvious) service option.
about the homelink... in tesla fashion it's hands down the smartest setup i've ever experienced.
you can tell it to trigger an open/close when you're within a certain distance of your garage/gate. by doing that i can just drive up and magically things open.
only downside... while gate remote is always an 'open' command, for a garage door it's ambiguous... same code, and if it's open it closes and if it's closed it opens, so if the car is approaching the garage and the door is open the car will send a signal to the garage which will cause it to start closing. not optimal. apparently it doesn't give a few seconds option to cancel the automatic command. haven't messed with that yet, but it worked perfectly with the gate.
before getting it i was thinking they'd have to replace the rear view mirror where i've been used to having buttons for ages. but of course, no buttons in this implementation, it's on the screen, but even better, no buttons needed at all in most scenarios.
