It is smaller inside which I wasn't crazy about, or it feels smaller at least.
A++++++++ on the front seat comfort though, wow.
I like the LX but I just hate that they took so much weight and armor out of it for fuel economy.
Also, they sold nearly 7,000 of them in 2023. That is about double LX570 sales, nothing to write home about but sales have increased. This also may be because the Land Cruiser in that iteration isn't available here
I could easily own one. I know you'll disagree, but I do wish they offered the hybrid powertrain in it.
I would consider a doubling of sales to be a considerable win, no?
We like the TX, and we like the GH. If we were looking for a new 3 row vehicle, I'd have more choices than ever - TX, Grand Highlander, Sequoia, Yukon, LX, CX90, XC90, etc. I would just go for the LX but my wife would never agree...

Oh sure, it’s a good thing! But I wonder if it’s just LC buyers, total 200 series LX and LC were roughly what LX only sales are now. I like the LX600 but don’t love it. No power running boards? For $125k? I’m spoiled rotten with them whenever I get the GMC which was $40,000 cheaper new.
It was always outclassed in many practical ways but now it plain doesn’t have the goods that way cheaper rivals have.
Its still working, just that no one bought their Lexus is not Toyota marketing non-sense.
If that was the case, they would be cross-shopping the TX with the Grand Highlander and wondering why the heck the Lexus costs $20k more at the top trims with the same engines.
Point taken, but for clarification, the top engines in the TX and GH are NOT the same. We should at least be accurate.
GH Hybrid Max starts at $59k. The TX500h, with the same power train starts at $69k, so a $10k difference. Step up to the top TX, the TX550h+ with the V6 plug in hybrid, that’ll cost you $78k to start.

Reason: Fixed pricing typo
And you feel the 3rd row space of a TX/GH is comparable to that of a Palisade which literally blew my mind. We're even.
By the numbers the TX has 2 inches more third row legroom, but the vehicle is 6 inches longer.
I think the reason I felt that way was the Palisades I have looked at have captains chairs in the second row and the TX was a bench. That makes a big difference in how spacious the third row feels.

And bear in mind it was considerably inventory constrained. Inventory seems much better now.

You're already inaccurate with the pricing of the TX550h+, which starts at $78K. But I'm not talking about the 550h+. Spec a 500h up, add a tow hitch receiver like most people will, and it's $78K. Load up a Grand Highlander Platinum Max with the same engine and tow hitch, it's $61K.
$17K difference yet they literally share the same engine and some body panels.
Sorry. Typo on my phone. Correct. The 550h+ is $78k. My point still stands. Their top motors are not the same.
You didn't read anything past my first sentence then. Same engines equipped means the loaded 500h TX is $17K more than a loaded Grand Highlander. Same exact engine.
The 550h+ is a pretty funny scenario, because Toyota had to decontent all the F-Sport features from it that are on the 500h to get it under the $80K mark to make it qualify for the federal tax credit at its base price.

Tax credit?? I like that . Does it qualify for it when loaded past 80K? I need to check Colorado's credit, which if the Fed works than there is a chance Colorado will follow too.
