hey guys!

I do think it would be great to hold an LS430 meet near/or around Atlanta - hopefully soon!

the wood trunk custom looks great but doesnt everything slide all over in your trunk every time you make a turn?

Thanks for the kind words!

Everything is bolted down in the trunk, so nothing moves at all.

Default Update - Maintenance - Megan Racing RCA

Hello fellow CL members,

Hope everyone is doing well!

Little update - Did an oil+filter change, powersteering rack poly bushes, fitted some new Megan racing RCA and did my 3rd transmission drain/fill.

Next on the list is the valve cover gasket, I think the driver side one is slowly starting to leak!

(ps: special thanks to Dan @ theautolounge)

All comments welcomed!

Yann.

Whats the reason for all the transmission fluid changes?

Looking good.

Hey Mavisky - Really just a preventative measure, the car is over 200k and was recommended to have it drain/filled 3 times.

How difficult was the RCA install? I have a Youzealand SS Kit I need to install on my car.

It's very straightforward, this helped (the rca is a single piece here but same thing)

If you're running less than a 19" wheel though there might be a clearance issue

Its very easy, just remove the lower ball joint bolts and fit the spacers - just make sure you adjust the brake shield as it may rub on the disc.

Great write up! How hard was replacing the steering rack bushings? Basic tools only?

Thanks Wlpls430 ; Honestly kind of a pain! I had to use an air hammer - I would think using basic hand tools could be done, just be creative!

I just read every post in this build thread. Amazing detail. I just got my 2004 LS430 UL couple weeks ago finally after wanting one for 20+ years! I am looking forward to enjoying it as is for a bit but a build/detail maintenance of some sort is coming. I may need to reach out to you for your guidance and expertise. I live in Atlanta area also. I also have a Hellcat Charger on bags so that is something I def want in the future.

I have the same ones on my car. Basic tools. A good set of offset jaw pliers might be good for pulling them out as the OEM ones are stubborn. I also needed an alignment afterwards.
