Make sure you get that exhaust bracket off BEFORE you unbolt the pan. Trust me, it makes life so much easier.

Wow you're a clever bugger! I just cut all the wires in my Aristo lol.

If it helps, it can be cheaper shipping things down here using "YouShop" from NZPost: https://www.nzpost.co.nz/tools/youshop

Thanks guys! I would have to say that upping the line pressure by itself probably won't do much but will be safe. What I liked about machining my own rods is that I used my own measurements from trial and error. The shifts are a little harsh at lower speeds right now but I could easily take them out and take about 1/4" to 3/8" off each rod.

Yes, I couldn't imagine not getting that brace off even before hand because that's where I tapped between the trans and pan to break it free. I didn't have enough clearance on the rear of it.

I appreciate that too Hayce although I really wanted to keep the car N/A with cams, it will be too much of a hassle. I would have to probably buy a donor engine just to get the cams out, because who would let you rip cams out of their engine instead of them selling the whole engine. I've never seen a set of OEM GS400 cams for sale. Then I'd have to ship them, pay for service, get them back, tear into the motor, possibly add shims for the buckets, and this is all $2500 later.

Instead, I just bought an ATI Procharger for the GS400 and will keep this build updated
