Not much of an update, but I wanted to let people know as well as my sponsors that I have been busy with family things. Bad news on family things and had to take care of that. My wife recently went on a vacation towards the end of March. This is when I received the bad news. A very close aunt who is on her last days after stopping her chemo therapy, after attempting to beat her second battle with cancer. The other is my grandmother who's health keeps getting worse, she was at the hospital. I haven't posted much on the cars progress due to this, so in the meanwhile I have started to improve my personal health and life. Taking advice from those family members I just mentioned.
What I have planned for the car, or better said. What is next up for the car is to finish sanding the cage and putting primer on it and paint the cage.
I will drop the front and rear sub-frames. I will be working on the chassis with the help from FIGS parts (this includes bushings), Big Brakes (all four corners), Tomei 2-WAY Differential, suspension, TRD/Tom's or C-One braces/links, SerialNine fenders and CSL trunk. I will look into if I need to think of stronger axles.
Those will be the focus for now, one chassis/body is done I will take the car to the paint both for getting the rest of the car painted.
This should be fun and I am sure frustrating as well.
I decided to make a video, it's not much of an update. It's just the a ding work I have to do to the cage to remove surface rust because it started to snow as the car was being towed back home.
Made progress on the sanding of the cage, now I just need to remove the sunroof, and all the other things inside the car. It needs to be bare, so the entire interior can be painted as well as the cage.
I took some things to storage.
I'll be dropping this car off at Patience Metal Fabrication again will be working on this car for phase two.
frickin awesome, when does the s9 stuff get installed?
September the car goes back to Patience for chassis, suspension and brake work. For now my task is getting the cage and inside of the car painted. So my clock is ticking, I have little time to work on the car since I am so busy. But I have my families support so they all know that working on the car is all I want to do. So they give me time to just focus on that.
I am hoping that by December the car would just be waiting for and engine and wiring of the engine to be done. Pretty BOLD goals maybe not. But thats what I am aiming for.
Cleaning the inside, removing wires, plastic, ducting that I don't need. Stripping the interior of anything I don't need to get the car closer to primer and paint
