Default 2JTsc300 NA-T BUILD

hello everyone my name is JT from Cibolo Texas, just out side San Antonio, ive been a member for about two years after i picked up a pearl white 1993 sc300 5sp with 148k that was pretty clean but needed some work. front and rear rotors were warped and needed pads,(it was scary driving it home 90 miles in austin traffic to san antonio. the cluster back lights and needle were goin out and could already tell that the control arms bushings and shocks were shot. within the first two weeks i installed new lower control arm bushings and kyb strut with lowering springs, swapped out my factory 16" wheels with my 16" NA supra wheels, installed 5K HID low beams, cleared my head lights, and had the center consol recover at work and swaped in 95 tan supra seats. also installed my AEM EMS with a AEM wideband, IAT and MAP sensor, car made about 193 WP, since then i deleted my first catalytic converter and installed a soarer R154 with ACT stage 4 PP and steet disc.

here are some pic of my sc when i picked it up and how it is now

day i bought it

lowered

NA supra wheels

month after i bought it took it to a dyno day to see what she puts down all stock

after AEM EMS installed and base tune (factory clutch did not like the extra power)

cluster before repair

cluster after lextech lighting

picked these up for $100 95 supra seats

stock vs. supra

swap done, still need to wire connector for seat belt light

head lights before

head lights after

tails redout

how she saits today

now parked for NA-T build

started to remove some stuff but went to spend time with family for the 4th of july party

my plans for this car is a DaveH turbo kit with a PTE66 and a COP conversion. i plan on making around 500whp on pump gas.

ill update my build whenever i have a chance on working on the car. i plan on taking at least a month on the build. but we will see what happens

got to work on the car some more last night, got to take off both oil pans and tried to take off the head but the number 3 head bolt got stripped when using the 12 point socket that i read to use on the forums, so i went and got my 6 point allen head socker and used a hammer and a 3 foot breaker bar and was able to get it out no problem. so new im sending the head off tomorrow and taking my pan to get the oil return line flang welded on next weekend

now just waiting for my turbo kit to come in, but in the mean time there is alot of cleaning that needs to be done and still have to replace my oil pump

i would put some oil on the pistons and lube up the rings a bit, having them open to atmosphere (dirt/debris) isnt bad... but just an old engine builder trick.

I spray a little wd40 on the walls and what not. Prevents rust and corrosion from forming.
