Yo B, The black TB shows normal behavior, as the cable does not actually open the butterfly but actually moves the throttle position sensor which in turn sends a signal to the ecu, and then the ecu sends a signal to another motor to move the butterfly......this system is called a drive by wire and is used to control trc, vsc and cruise control.

The other TB is modified to bypass the drive by wire, and therefore the stock ecu might not be able to control things like normal idle with ac load etc, and definitely not trc,vsc and cruise control now.

So in other words use the stock (black ) TB if you are using the stock ecu, and use the modified TB with the upgraded ecu that was tuned for it to run without the drive by wire

Plug looks good btw

As long as it is a proper Premium-Japan throttle conversion kit you still retain AC load compensation, VSC (as unrelated to throttle) and cruise control - you do lose TRC though.

If you look at the sliding setup of the gear swap for it you can see how it leaves a small amount of control for the ECU to do its thing - I have one in my car (I do have an Fcon ECU but standard ECU still controls idle - and people on ClubAristo are running them with standard ECU)

I would use the modified one either way unless you really care about losing TRC - much better throttle response!

^^^ Correct....thats why i said "might not" because we dont know if it was a proper conversion kit or some hack job.
Have a look here...

I was getting all sorts of weird behavior with idle and then intermittent misfires running rich ....solved the problem though .. My alternator was bad ...repaired it and dropped it in with the modified throttle and now she is better than ever .

This week I am getting one of the new Greddy Multi DA gauges installed and all the other necessary electronics like turbo timer boost controller and having them properly fitted out of site in the glove box.
