Well the SCX00 subforum has this type of thread, and I figured we should too. However I believe the mean age here will be a tad higher than there, either way, lets see what ya'll got .

Heh, thanks, the suspension/wheels were the most annoying part of this model, so finicky and sensitive.

Basically same as I said before.....annoying wheel mount design.

Can you get some yellow led's for the fogs? lol...

 

That was something I had my pops help me out with. It wasn't part of the kit. I drilled the holes in the appropriate spots. Hot glued LED's in, and since I have no clue how to solder properly, I had my pops solder the wiring for me.

I can't agree more LOL.

Well originally I did order yellows for the fogs....however the individual who sold me them said they were 3 volt. Well when I fed them 3V of power, both burnt out. Needless to say, I'm impatient and just threw the whites in.

OP the link u provided....these are the same ones? did u add leds to them or did they come with them...cause by my calculations they are only like $30 bucks and that seems to cheap even for them

 

The one that says Vertex 300 or something of the sort, with the white Aristo and 5 spoke rims is the one I bought. And if you read my previous post, no they did not come with the LED's. I ordered those from ebay. Nor did the kit come with holes to mount the LED's, I drilled the holes myself, glued the led's in myself and let my pops work his soldering magic. .

PS: I'm too poor to afford real mods for my ride, so I resort to models since those are more along my price range LOL. And I made this thread so others could post their creative toys, whether it be Die Cast or those HPI cars or what have you.
