tell me more about this blower kit and how i can attain one for my own personal amusement???
These are complete kits (manifold, tensioners, belt, etc) EXCEPT they don't include the blower, due to US customs issues. You just ebay a T-bird M90 blower and slap it on.
right now i'm just planning my build for aa full 2.25" manifold back exhaust, true dual pipes. we'll see how much it adds if anything. i completely understand why you want to make it a bit faster, why not! the sc kit sounds interesting, i'll have to look into it. i wonder how much nitrous the trans can handle?
Another question is what can be done to beef up the tranny.
Depending on how far you want to take it, the stock transmission won't be able to handle it, not to mention its hard to find uber-tough automatic trannies. Shift kits and adapter plates can take you far, but have they been developed for our transmissions?

Make sure you utilize an X-pipe--V-8s respond very well to these, and the 1UZ is no different. Lots of related stuff on PlanetSoarer.com, where our Aussie friends have done much more research and development on 1UZ performance than most in the US.
I'd suggest you start with suspension and brakes. Replace all your bushings, get some new struts in, get some new pads, maybe upgrade to the UFC20 calipers if you can... The combo of all new bushings (Daizen sway bar bushings + control arm bushings) and new struts will already make the car feel so much better. After doing those mods, my car is so much more driveable on the freeway. The car feels much more planted and body roll is significantly reduced when taking those turns at 75+ mph.
I think you need to set some goals first, figgure out what kind of performance level you want. You just want it to be faster than stock? Want it to be able to beat <insert car here> or run a specific 1/4 mile time? Then when you know what you want figgure out how much power it will take to push our heavy LS400's to those speeds in the times you want. I don't want to give out bad news but our cars are heavy, something that works against you when you want performance. Then when you know what you want and what its gonna take to get there, then begin planning your build.
Great advice - I too was into the high HP for my 95 and then I discovered HP to weight ratios - simple physics. When I started I wanted the best handling LS I could get and the big HP - now I have the handling complete and am starting to plan a mild program to get more HP.
Im assuming its the same tranny thats in the SC?? It wont handle that much HP. Ive been thru a couple myself (engines and trannys) around 300+ it starts going downhill fast...

yea, up until 95 i think (may be 98, dont know much about the SC) the tranny was the same in the SC and the LS.
iirc, a supra turbo slushbox should bolt right up but i dont think those are much good over 400-420hp either so
