Engine discoloration after engine cleaner

Default Engine discoloration after engine cleaner

Hi guys,your help is very appreciated, i cleaned my rx330 engine with a cleaner ,now there is like streak discoloratin on the silver engine cover,the black plastic is very rough looking and even the black frame looks dicolored.Any suggestions please

it may help if you tell us what cleaner(s) you used. it is possible the cleaner you used may have been to abbrasive and has actually damaged the plastic covers

yes,i used supertech from walmart,may be abrasive as you said

Is this a spray on, hose off product?

Do you know if it has any acids or is acidic in pH value?

Was the engine hot when you sprayed it on?

Always test that stuff in a small spot first. Some stuff will discolor your plastic or change the texture of it. it was probably too harsh or the motor was hot when you sprayed on it and its "burned" in now =/

Sorry to hear this, but looks like the cleaner is causing the problem your having IMO.

thank you for the replies,it is foamy ,donot know about the composition,the motor was cold.
I took the plastic cover off,cleaned it and planning to repaint it,,if you have any suggestion about the paint itself or the color tell me please

Primer and High temp paint. Paint it whatever color you wish.

You can also use some clear coat if you wanted to.
