Do those come with the holes for the retention clips Anita? They look pretty good.

Noma, were you talking about the Digital Fit or just weather tech in general?
Any reason for you Dislike? I will buy them off of you if you are just going to toss them in the garbage.

The Lloyds do come with the holes for the retention clips. I keep the carpeted mats in so the fit is snug. They don't move at all. The mat does not go under the gas pedal on the driver side. I get a little dirt there but nothing the vacuum can't pick up.

Hey All,

Lexus Newb (took delivery on Mon) and just coming on board to the forum. I looked all over the web for mats for a RX 350. Shocked at some of the prices. Found a great 4 piece heavy duty rubber set (Kraco) in Sam's for $20 with all of the ridges and groves needed to catch the Canadian winter slop when I head north next year. Passenger and rear mats fit perfect and I only had to do some trimming (pre-outlined on the mat) on the driver's mat. They provide great coverage of the floor space and are heavy enough they won't shift (unless you start River Dancing while the cruise control is on). I guess I have trouble parting with large $$ only to put a Lexus logo at my feet. It's worth a look.

I wouldn't put in mats that aren't made for Toyota/Lexus. Especially if they don't have the holes for the clip retention. I'd rather have the stock mats a little dirty than risk my family.

My stock carpet mats are clipped in. The rubber mats are overtop to protect them from the grime with the clip up inside the ridge of the mat (but not through a hole) which stops them from advancing forward. I have owned two past Toyotas and presently have a 08 Tacoma. Never ever have I had shifting mat issues and the two Celicas never had clips. Never ever have I had shifting mat issues in my North American cars either. Touch wood I suppose, but I believe if you remain cognizant of your driving surroundings and your confident in your skills, your mats will be fine unless you have some slippery compound under them or suffer from restless leg syndrome and River Dance uncontrolled. In my opinion, the Toyota re-call for accelerator pedals and floor mats was a stop-gap measure to silence the media frenzy following an unfortunate accident which claimed four lives and blamed on mats. The guy that claimed his accelerator stuck causing him to crash was determined to be a hoax. If Toyota's products where deemed sub-standard, would they still be the 2010 auto industry leader? The fact that clips are in place isn't the reason. To be perfectly safe, I guess we should just stay off the roads.

I picked up the WeatherTech mats direct from WeatherTech's web site. Photos below. I will say they are not shiny or glossy. The quality of the material is pretty good and sturdy. I'm a little unhappy with the form fit (or lack there of). I don't like that it does not cover driver side left foot rest. I got the cargo area too, but no pics yet. The cargo area mat does form fit really well.

yeah papa, its a "pick one of the two evils" game. Black interior show "fuzzies" and every spec of dust, and Parchment interior shows scuff and show grime easily. Of course, both require upkeep.

There is another solution for those so oblivious to their cockpit environment that they would permit mats to slip and jam the accelerator--velcro. Just velcro the mats down and they won't move.

Years ago mercedes mats were anchored with pin clips. That's another option.

I like weather tech mats. I have an old set in my RX that were made for a different vehicle. Yup, I paid big bucks for he RX and I'll get the correct mats at some point. But it was sloppy when I picked up the vehicle so I wanted something over the carpet.

And I like my grey interior. The parchment looks like baby poop to me, and black was my second choice.
