That's a shame about the lower quality. I haven't had Lexus mats since the 300. I wasn't too impressed with the quality and deterioration in the heel area. I'd sooner buy cheap mats every few months. I discovered Lloyds when I had the kick panels done on the 330. I needed something that could be cut to fit without looking cut. Lloyds mats fit the bill perfectly. The Rubbertites held up great over the years with little to no sign of wear. But I will say I like the design of the Canadian mats. They definitely do not look like the typical Lexus mats or remotely trucklike. I'm curious to see how they hold up, especially in the winter.
True,Anita.
I'm not fond of the look of those Canadian mats and they seem a bit short on coverage.
I like the OEM Lexus all weathers I had in my '09 RX350.
There are a few complaining about the quality and all weather functionality of that new designed ES350 mat.
As far as the Lloyds,I'd have to see them in person. The Husky all weathers are ugly.
I went with the OEM rubber cargo mat because I don't like the hard plastic aftermarkets but that's me.

Johnny - can you provide any more details about the construction/quality of the all-weather mats you have? How do they compare with the mats for prior models, if you know, and/or how do they compare with the Weathertechs? Any insight would be greatly appreciated, as I'm seriously thinking of ordering them from Canada.

The rubber is softer, more pliable and better contoured, not as stiff as the earlier edition. This lack of stiffness makes them hug the carpet's uneven surface better. It does not have the deep channels of the latter, but it hasn't been a problem here in rain country. Snow may present a challenge, however the "L" recesses should do the job, imho.

Thanks for the additional close up photos and information. I'm going to wait until the end of the month to see if my local dealer gets them. If not, I'm going to support the Canadian economy.

Here are the weathertech mats.

They fit like a glove, they don't let water, snow or sand get underneath them and they don't look industrial. My wife who is as critical as they come, loves them. The RX is her daily driver.

I'm not a big fan of the L L L L L L L L L L L pattern all over the Lexus mats, personal opinion. As for sheer functionality, the Weathertech works the best and they flat do the job they were intended for...protecting your carpets from the elements. Water in automobile carpets = massive smell and mold!!

My interior is light grey and the weather tech mats are grey.

Go to www.weathertech.com and get some mats that will actually protect your carpets.

I have had the weathertech mats up here in MA/NH for about a year and they are great. They fit like a glove and have plenty of coverage. I keep the cargo liner in year round.

i have 2 Weathertech trunk liners for sale. They both have a slight hole in one corner (very first batch Weathertech made for the 10RX) and they fit perfectly on mine. They are both black.

The coverage of the standard equipment Canadian rubber mats leaves something to be desired. I've had my RX for less than two weeks and there has been only small amounts of snow. Despite that, I have salt on the RX's carpeting around the mats, in particular under the throttle. I think Lexus is so paranoid about the mats and the throttle that they have made the mats give insufficient coverage.

I wonder if WeatherTech ships to Canada? I would only want the front mats as I never had passengers in the back and the rear mats seem sufficient.

I bought all my weathertech liners (front, 2nd row and cargo) from Weathertech Canada http://www.weathertech.ca

I have gotten great customer service from them.
