LOL. I guess you have to consider the source. He's the same idiot who said he doesn't even listen to the radio because he wants complete silence when he drives.

Finally got the seatbelt chime to turn off. The directions given by Eternity3G are great but they didn't seem to work for me...so...I made one minor change. I held the ODO button down for 30 seconds instead of ten. Worked like a charm.

It works, make sure your not on Trip A or B:

Reset Maintenance Required Light

1. With your car OFF, place your key in the ignition and turn to ""On"". Do not start the car.

2. Find the odometer button and press until it reads the total odometer setting, (not the Trip A or Trip B setting).

3. Turn the key to OFF.

4. Place your finger back on the odometer button, press and hold. At the same time, turn the key back to ""On"".

5. Hold the odometer button in until the MAINT REQD light goes out...should take about 8-10 seconds.

Does anyone know how to change puddle lights in side mirrors? DIY ?
It was easy in my IS250 to change by removing the mirror.. like this - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/2015986-post43.html

You're going to need to take the door panels and mirrors off before you can get to the puddle lights. This DIY shows the details. Removing the panels is simple, but pay close attention when putting them back on. It's easy to misalign the fasteners that hold them to the door.

Thanx! As shown in the first page of the thread? https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...iy-thread.html
Just by pulling the mirror would be not enough?

Unfortuneately no. You will have to open the two halves of the mirror covers to access the bulbs, and in order to open them you must first remove the door panels and then the mirrors. Sounds more complicated than it is, really. Just study the DIY first.

On the GS, if your headlights are on, and you use the windshield washers, the headlamp washers will automatically activate once.
I used this DIY - http://my.is/forums/f64/isx50-switch...ashers-341199/ on my previous IS250 to solve the problem.
Is it possible to use the same DIY on GS ???
I want "the only time the headlamp washers will activate is when you press the headlamp washers button.."

So i tried it different ways and no luck. What is the solution?
Thanks in advance.
just did the mod to my 06 gs300 and it worked, the post is just missing a step.

get in and shut door
turn engine on, set odo/trip to odo. may want to make sure it is set to odo using steering wheel also, and then turn off engine.
take foot off brake, press start button twice (dont turn on engine)
hold down odo button for about 10 sec while you also put on your seat belt.
from there, follow the post
