^ nope...but if you look at the ISx50 section I believe there is a thread. Its the same process for our car Im going to be installing my old springs on another members car so if we have a camera handy I will take some pics and post it as a DIY...
Heres a little tip for those of us who use radar detectors. I, in a sense, converted my v1 into a 9500ix . I frequent alot between cincinnati and chicago and inbetween those trips, I incur alot of falses on the highways. These are the falses I hate the most because I rarely speed in the city and usually have my rd turned off but the falses on the highway make me slow down instantly. So for those with navi, theres a little button called "mark" on the bottom of the screen. Itll put a little flag in the gps position you are currently in. They stay there permanently (correct me if i am wrong but mine havent gone away for 2 years). So if you make a trip in one direction, you can mark all the locations with falses ( I usually do 3 or 4 flags in a row to help verify that I am going to run into falses in this strip of the highway) and then on the way back, if you run into a radar signal you can quickly look at the nav screen and identify if its a known false or not. I have been using this method for a few years now and I basically rely off my nav screen to tell me whether to panic or not.
Don't speed sounds like a way out of everything. But i love speeding and radar detectors don't even help because they are usually on the bottom of a hill or on a corner where once ure radar goes of he already has ure speed. Radar jamer is something that i would use. But it does cost like 2000.

Most new good radar detectors will be able to pick up radar sources early enough around curves or hills before you get tagged. The only thing that you're really vulnerable to is laser. Laser jammers are illegal in a few states but legal in most. The best laser jammers on the market are the laser interceptor and blinder. Blinder being the cheaper of the two, will give you pretty good protection to being hit by laser but you still need to slow down before they find a way to tag you once you're close enough. Radar jammers are completely illegal by the FCC in every state. So if you're caught with one, you'll be paying more than whatever you spent on counter measures and theyll most likely impound the car if its too hardwired in or make you junk the system on the spot. I wouldn't underestimate the power and capabilities of modern radar detectors. The newest hardware/firmware v1 or escort redline are the two most powerful windshield mount radar detectors on the market costing 399 and 499 respectively. If you're looking for a good cheap radar detector, I'd suggest whistlers new SE lineup. The PRO78SE and XTR695SE have very good range and actually keep up with the big dogs on Ka Band. You can find these two detectors for ~160shipped on many online stores.
Sorry for this long post, I feel like this will give some knowledge to anyone who doesn't understand much about radar detectors.

Well with a lasser jammer you have a light thats lights up that tells u, that u are being lasered. You slow down and turn it off. In order for them to do anything they would have to prove that u have the laser jammer. Its not a radar you stick on the windshield it gets hidden behind grill bummer etc ect. So visually you wouldn't be able to tell. If it has helped you i am very happy for you, but if i am spending 500 i might as well spend another 1000 and be safe from speed camera's, red light camera's and highway patrols. That is with a lasser jammer.

Huh? Laser Jammers use infrared pulse beams to shoot back at the LIDAR gun in order to confuse it. It obviously alerts you that you are being lasered, but the main point of it is to make sure you can't get tagged with a speed. Yes it is smart to slow down and turn off the system just so they will not suspect anything and give you trouble for it. Laser Jammers do not get hidden "behind" they get placed usually in the front air dam or flush with the grill. If anything is blocking the sensors, they will not be able to detect or transmit properly. I assume by the addition of your numbers that you're talking about the 9500ci? If so, its a great radar detector, but fails as a laser jammer. The infrared diodes escort uses for the zr4 shifters are very weak and will not provide you with ample protection. Like I said before, the two best laser jammers on the market are the blinder products and the laser interceptor products. Both proven over and over to effectively jam laser. IMO, using a redline or v1 with blinder or laser interceptor will give you the most protection. Check out Batman75's system. Def the best one ive seen.
Damn. I can't get the seat belt buzzer to turn off. I've done the steps like 5 times, and I really am not an idiot, but it just won't work.
Sorry, but if your goal is to disable the buzzer so that you can drive without wearing a seat belt and not being bothered, maybe you're overestimating your mental abilities. Not wearing a seat belt is about the dumbest thing a person can do short of playing Russian Roulette.
Thank you for your input. So, when did you become my (and apparently the entire CL community's) judge and jury? You have no idea why I want to do this, so unless you have something constructive to say, you should probably just keep your mouth shut.
