Tailgating Goes Wrong, Lexus Torched in Buffalo

Rowdy Buffalo Bills fans accidentally set their own Lexus on fire.

This weekend some Buffalo Bills fans made the last home game of the season (against the Miami Dolphins) a memorable one, for all the wrong reasons. A group of over-enthusiastic (and we’re guessing over-served) tailgaters set a 2010 Lexus on fire by putting a hot grill underneath the car. We’ve heard of cooking on the engine block, but not cooking the engine block.

According to The Buffalo News, local law enforcement responded to a fire a little after noon and arrived to find the Lexus roasting like a very expensive chestnut on an open fire.

Despite the best efforts of the Windom Volunteer Fire Company, the Lexus is now little more than ash and debris. We certainly hope those sausage and peppers were good, although we doubt they’re as satisfying as that sweet Lexus was.

A small silver lining to the Lexus owner: The Bills won. In fact, they were on fire! Too soon?
