Hi friends,
To avoid my temptation of posting in and unintentionally derailing(by accident) the Ev Conversation thread(again) I thought I'd make a new thread! Lol
Are you car enthusiast?
Does your enthusiasm extend to mostly certain types or brands of cars?
actually driving your car instead of getting caught up in online arguments!
i'll add one solid data point though: nobody can call themselves a true enthusiast if they never drive their car just for the hell of it, and only do so when they need to
well that just leaves you and smokey nagata lmaoooo
I mean redline and grip limits should be used as often as possible......if you don't use it get another car? Idk, it was always strange to me that people don't fully utilize what they paid for

Because that's not real life? And most people live in places with actual people and are considerate of other people's safety and believe it or not, their own safety as well? I mean you CAN use it, but SHOULD you?

Someone who loves cars and the appreciates the mechanical aspects of it. Like you can love a Corolla for its simplicity and the mission that it was designed for and accomplished and can also love a hypercar for $X millions of dollars.
Because that's not real life? And most people live in places with actual people and are considerate of other people's safety and believe it or not, their own safety as well? I mean you CAN use it, but SHOULD you?
Yes. Otherwise why did you even buy the high power version of a car?
Same reason I picked the version of my Jetta as I did, it's the best at its role and I try and maximize what it can get per gallon.
Because sometimes someone just wants that version of the car? It could be just as simple as that. I'm not sure why you see things so complicated.
For what reason if they will never use it? That's my point, enthusiasts make the active decision to get a particular car or version because they want to utilize those special aspects.
Otherwise they would just get whatever CUV is hot at the time their old car just "unexpectedly" stopped working.

It can be as simple as just wanting and having it. Nothing complicated. Do you max out your cc or spend every penny you make every day? If not, what's the point of making money? Do you turn on all the lights in your house all the time? If not, why have lights? Being a car enthusiast is not always about going fast or pushing your car to the limit. You can simply enjoy a car just by looking at it.
