D1 Drift Hero Manabu Orido’s got a new car. It’s an FT-86, but without Subie’s 2L boxer motor. Instead, the 5L V8 from the IS-F sits nested low between the front wheels of the sports coupe.  Light weight. Tons of power. Only one thing left to do.

This sweet treatment was done by our buddies over at VIP Auto Salon at the request of Lexus Marketing VP Brian Smith. Having a brand-new ride custom color is already a baller move, and we totally approve of this color.

This crash was caught from a couple of different angles, and none of them make it look particularly great for the driver of the Gazzo Racing IS F.

With models like the LFA, IS F, and GS F Sport in its stable, it’s hardly a secret Lexus wants to move beyond pillow-soft luxury cars into serious high-performance territory. And if recent rumors are any indication, this strategic shift might also involve uprooting its corporate HQ.

The first time I saw the IS-F in person, it was screaming on a dyno, and I thought it sounded awesome. But it should come as no surprise that it sounds better in CCS-R trim. This footage was shot at Motorsport Japan, and it’s pretty awesome. Enjoy.

Apparently, the owner of this Lexus IS-F was caught street racing and had his car crushed. While this seems completely unreal, we know California police have done this before. But in the other crush videos, all the cars still had their wheels, and here they’re missing, along with some other components. Video after the jump.
