4 Fake Awards That Your Lexus Could Win

Lexus has won many awards over years, due to the impeccable build quality and thoughtful engineering instilled into their cars. Some of those awards seem a little too particular to be real. Well, most of those awards were real, we think, but these are not.

1. Best Panel Gap Fitment

Panel Gap

Look at those impeccable panel gaps, so even, so symmetrical. Why even bother calling them gaps at this point? This may as well all be one piece.

2. Best Exterior Paint Finish

Exterior Paint

Micas, metallics, and pearls, Lexus has a handle on making some shiny paint finishes. What is it about those staunch Germans and their boring paint choices? The only way to get a cool color out of Germany is to pay a small fortune for the “Individual” option. What a joke. There isn’t a higher quality paint this side of $100,000.

3. Best Use of Fake Exhaust Tips

Exhaust Tips

The first generation IS-F was an awesome car, bringing Lexus into the realm of the performance sports sedan. Man, check out the vertically stacked, dual exhaust. That’s awesome! Until you get closer and realize those tips were writing checks that the rest of the exhaust couldn’t cash. Later models like the RC-F rectified this.

4. Most Likely to Cause Passengers to Fall Asleep

Comfortable

Have you ever ridden in the back seat of a Lexus? Probably not, because you’re usually the one driving, but let me tell you, it is NICE back there. Soft touch plastics, supple leather everywhere, and with that creamy smooth ride quality, it’s no wonder that your Lexus is 2016’s “Most Likely Vehicle to Put Passengers to Sleep.” Congratulations.
