So, who's got a strong opinion on a wheel lock, good or bad? Got some better rims coming and will want something protective on them

Personally, I perfer the wheel locks made by Glock...

Hehehe...but like Globe said, they just flat bed it. Besides, people that know will know how to get off any wheel lock. I have yet to see one that I couldn't take off with the right tools...

Glock...thanks manaray for the tip about passive defense.

so should i really just not bother or get locks anyways? i'm guessing locks anyways. perhaps doubling up will help a tiny bit? like a double barrel, manaray?

You should definitly get wheel locks, if you want to do 2 locks on each wheel then get two different brand of locks, it will just make a thief's life a little more difficult. If a good thief can walk away with a set of wheels in 5 mins, 2 locks will take them even longer to break. That extra lock buys you time and chance to catch them in the act and beat them sensless.

Well you can just use Gorilla....it will stop the "casual" thief. But anyone serious will still get them even if you had 5 locks and chained the wheels to a tree...

I have 1 wheel lock per wheel on my car and trust me, I don't have that much faith in them....that's why I have seperate insurance just for my wheels...

I agree that they are worthwhile, even if they just deter the amatuer punks, it's worth it. Like was said, get insurance because the pros will get them if they want them, no matter what you try to do.
