Default Track Pad Question

Had my 350 for about 2 months now and spring being right around the corner I'm looking to take the car to Sears Point. I raced for many years and am not looking to be aggressive just have some fun.

Wondering what type of pads you folks have run... EBC, HAWK, ETC.

Thanks.

Others have or will be running EBC Yellows; seem to be pretty good. I've got a set sitting in garage waiting for my current StopTech Streets to wear out.

I just installed a set of EBC Yellow Stuff over the weekend based on brake pad recommendations that I read on the CL forum and other car forums. I'm currently in the bedding process and I'll be putting them to full use later this month on a track.

I know I've posted this before, but I've been happy with my yellow stuffs for a couple track days. Nice for daily driving too, besides the dust. Unless you're ready for a real race pad, they should serve you well.

My best success has been with Carbotech's as they have so many different compounds.

I've had their pads last 2 races (Approx 60 miles each) by babying them.

Not sure the Yellows will hold up like the carbotech's would.

I currently run Red Stuff on all my street cars.

I have really been thinking about trying out a set of carbtech's in my IS350. One of the few manufactures that actually make real race pads for the IS. Do you use them as track only pads or everyday pads? I have heard they squeal like hell when cold and I am to lazy so swap brakes out for a track day.

Currently running the yellowstuff which I like pretty well but do get some pretty obvious fade after about 15 min on the track with them. But so far they seem to be holding up pretty well and hope to get 5 or so track days out of them. I got about 3 out of my old stoptechs.

Carbotechs are Race/Track ONLY, they're serious stuff and will eat your rotors.

I ran dedicated on my race cars, and switched out pads/rotors for track days on my S2000.

They're also quite expensive @ $150 -$200 front and $100+ rears.
