Recent ball-joint change now squeaking?
I've got a 2000 GS, 100,000 miles. Lower ball-joints changed 10,000 miles ago (Beck Arnley). New Lexus shocks 2-weeks ago. Car is all stock, no lowering, no unusual tire wear. During shock change I asked the dealer to check everything including the LBJs and they said everything is OK. last couple days I notice a squeak on the left side when slowing and turning. When I bounce the left front fender it's quite loud and when I bounce the right fender, barely there. I'll try and attach a Blackberry video I made of the sound, there's not much to see as it was very dark in my garage. Any thoughts? Stabilizer bushing, upper strut mount. Please don't say LBJs. Thanks for your consideration.

I'd be paranoid as hell if my car was squeaking on bumps/turning. I know on Honda's, that's the for sure sign that your ball joints are going to fail. But then again, your link to the sound clip doesn't work.

Thanks for the input guys,
Of course after I book the car into the Lexus dealer, the squeak goes away!
I did buy a floor-jack and raised the wheel up and pushed, pulled, wrenched on the wheel. It's 100%rock-solid. I banged on the tire and rim from various angles, again, rock solid. Everything else seemed tight.
Believe it or not I think maybe weather-related. It's been kinda humid around here when it squeaked, but then dried up in the afternoon when it didn't.
I have new shocks and LBJs, but didn't change strut mounts.
I will try greasing the sway bar bushings.
THe funny thing is, I have an old beater Sunbird that squeaks and creaks when the weather turns cold - and now my Lex?! LOL

Update on front end squeak
OK, took my car in for new upper control arms today. So far, problem solved. Also, there's definitely a qualitative difference in the steering - less vibration in the steering wheel, quieter and smoother over bumps.
I went with Rock Auto instead of OEM, Lexus Canada wanted $400 per arm, Rock Auto $168, plus my friend at the Ford dealer charges $45 less per labour hour.
Come springtime, upper mounts TREs and strut bar.
Thanks for all the input, this is a great forum.
