Hey,
I started out looking up the GROM vLine for the Bluetooth and media options and ended up running across https://phoenixandroidradios.com/col...een/make_lexus
It looks pretty good and has a lot of features. I messaged the company on Facebook and they stated they don’t currently make a version for the LS460
Here are a few pics and a video of the Tesla Style Screen from Phoenix Android Radios installed on a Lexus IS
this looks horrible, why would anyone want to do that in an LS is beyond me

Reason: edit to quoted post
Looks like a quality installation, I give them that, But not my cup of tea for the following reasons:
- My wife always wears some lotion/hand cream so there would be slimy fingerprints all over the screen
- I like less light from the panel, particularly when driving at night. My former Saab had a "night panel" switch that would turn off every dash light and indicator except the speedo...it would light up automatically if attention needed..
- I don't like the radio and climate controls buried in on -screen menus, Plus this one seems to take a long time to start up
- Are original car voice commands still active or they superseded by the tablet functions?
I’m in I want to get rid of this mark system. Being a audio head the head unit limits me is there anyway to keep the nav screen but replace the head unit sorry for the thread jack.
In my opinion I cannot say it looks bad, but I also cannot say it looks good.
Definitely nifty and pretty neat - just as someone else stated, I personally would not ever do it.
This would be really cool in my opinion. Did anyone ever figure out what would be necessary to make this available for the LS. The website shows they have it for other Lexus models.
My initial post featured pics of the IS unit. Here are the updated pics of the LS model installed and it looks amazing and very close to a flawless install. Hope this helps all who were considering the upgrade and those who were skeptical.
Certainly looks great but I hear this is not compatible with Levinson equipped LS models and AC functions greatly reduced. Why are there little to no videos of this in action?
This looks really really cool, and I would love to jump on the bandwagon, but I've installed the Grom VL2 and already worked through my share of problems over the last year. Don't get me wrong, I like my VL2, but the support from them is slow at best. Not sure what kind of support can be expected from these guys when you have a problem, and since the majority of the problems involve software updates and backward compatibility, I would be apprehensive without a better understanding of the support network.
Caution is prudent, but would love to see and hear more
